Welcome to my Bubble Busker Blog.......

I am a Bubbleologist living in Worcestershire, England.

I travel across the country creating rainbow filled Dreams for young and old.....

This autumn I am planning to travel a bit wider afield.......to Transylvania, Romania (on Halloween!) to Bubble for children, young people and families supported by Love, Light Romania.

I will use this blog to record my journey.

Jacodu Poor Families Project (with Spiderman!)

Thursday 3rd November 2012

I can honestly say that this has been the most surreal day I have ever experienced outside of dreamland.... hence this missive may be a rather long one (please be patient, this is a true story!)

In the heart of Transylvania, admidst the mountains is a village called Jacodu. I travelled with Jo, Rich and Spiderman through the forest to find out more about the project Love Light Romania are working on there (taking Bubbles of course!)

Jo took the scenic route......

.......we did not have to worry about any obstacles as we had Spiderman with us to help out.....

We met up with Tarzan and his son, Johnny just outside the village - they brought their horse and cart along and, after Johnny had made a few Bubbles........

....... I travelled the last few kilometres on the cart (with Spiderman) Bubbling - the humidity was good and I had streams of Bubbles flying along beside us

As we approached the village, all the children came running towards us, it was quite an experience!

I admire the passion and dedication jo puts into her work over here in Romania, she puts her heart and soul into these projects - not just a 'quick fix' with a few visits and a bag of flour, but well thought out long term solutions for the people she works with. The Jacodu project is an excellent example of this - her aim is to ensure the children of these 15 families are educated in order that the cycle of poverty can be broken. She has been working here for two years and so far the families have had new roofs on their dwellings and been equipped with toilets and stoves - ensuring that basic human needs are met - giving people secure foundations on which to build.
You can find out more about this project by visiting

It is here in Jacodu that LoveLight Romania are building a  room for Erica and her children (see entry 1st November) - they are also working on getting an electricity supply to the village.

You can see the new roof on this home, along with the hut outside which has been equipped with a toilet.
