The Big Bubble Advenure

Welcome to my Bubble Busker Blog.......

I am a Bubbleologist living in Worcestershire, England.

I travel across the country creating rainbow filled Dreams for young and old.....

This autumn I am planning to travel a bit wider afield.......to Transylvania, Romania (on Halloween!) to Bubble for children, young people and families supported by Love, Light Romania.

I will use this blog to record my journey.

1st November - 'Day of The Dead'

The 1st November is 'Day of the Dead', when families gather at the graves of their loved ones to remember them. It is not a sad day, it is considered to be a day of happy remembrance..

We went to Sighisoara with Persida and Cristi to put flowers on their mum's grave (you can see the story of Persida and Cristi at   http://www.rjamesfeaver.co.uk/llr/persida-and-cristi/ )

The children met up with some family at the graveside, lit candles and laid flowers. We lit a sky lantern together (which nobody had ever seen before) and silent prayers were said for the future.

Afterwards we went to visit their sister, Erica, who lives with her 5 children in a borrowed room of a shared hut on a rubbish tip right next to the railway line in the town.....

..... an experience I will never forget - never before have I met any child who has no idea of how to react to a Bubble........ these children had no idea what to make of them....

..... I continued to produce the Bubbles and, after a short while, encouraged by their aunt and uncle (Persida and Cristi), they eventually got the hang of it.

The complete set of photos can be seen on   http://www.rjamesfeaver.co.uk/llr/june-erica/

Love Light Romania have been trying for some time to find an alternative home for Erica and her family. The local Mayor refused permission for a building to be erected at their current location as he said it was too dangerous being next to the open railway track - nobody seems to take into consideration that the family are at risk living there anyway.

This is where Persida and Cristi would also be living had they not been taken in to the Sanctuary under the care of the Charity.

Jo is planning to build a room for Erica at Jacodu - a village about an hours drive away, where Love Light Romania are working with the 'Poor Families' Project (more about that later). In the meantime, she continues to visit on a regular basis and takes what the charity can afford in the way of biscuits, toiletries and aid for the family.
